How to Decorate Snowman Cookies

The winter chill has arrived. It’s officially time to watch Frosty the Snowman…and eat sweets! Snowman Cookies!?! Here’s how to decorate Snowman Cookies.
On Friday, Stud and I took cookies to Baby B’s class to celebrate his birthday. I have always been hesitant to group his birthday with Christmas, but since he’s announced his plan for becoming the next Santa Claus when he grows up, I’ve embraced the blend between the two! On his birthday, he dressed up as Santa Claus and had his (flag) football friends over for donuts and they watched the movie Elf. (Eight in the morning was early, but with a Ten O’clock game time, it worked perfectly!)
Back to the Snowman Cookies. I started by baking my favorite Old Fashioned Sour Cream Cookies. I spread on a thin layer of my favorite buttercream frosting (recipe coming soon), then topped with a half of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, a couple mini chocolate chips, an orange sprinkle, and using my Frosting Decorating Set – I added a bit of melted chocolate almond bark for the arms and the bill of Frosty’s Top Hat.
Totally easy and days later, Baby B’s sweet friends are still stopping me to thank me for making their favorite cookies EVER! Ahh…melt my heart!

Ohhh these cookies are ADORABLE!!!! What a cute idea!!!! Love the snowmen! Merry Christmas!
So adorable! I have got to try this!

These are SO cute Aimee!
How adorable! These would be fun to make throughout the winter months. I can’t wait to try these with my granddaughter.
Thanks for linking to Time Travel Thursday. Hope to see you each week. Be sure to stop in tonight to see yourself featured.

These look great! I love that you used a peanut butter cup for the hat – so cute!
These are adorable! I almost didn’t even look at them because I assumed that you had used the traditional sugar cookie (which I’m not a big fan of), so I was super excited to see that you had used (and shared a recipe for) sour cream cookies. Can’t wait to try them!
