Cream of the Crop Recipes 1/5

Last week my entire family was in Texas eating together at a restaurant (you may have seen the cousin picture on instagram). My baby sister and her family of four left the next day for what should have been a 10 hour drive (road construction and an awful round of stomach flu made it a grueling 14 hours on the road).
After arriving home and spending a night in their brand new (old) home, my brother in law ended up in the ER, diagnosed with a ‘nasty’ (to quote the neurologist tumor specialist) brain tumor. It’s a miracle that Mark didn’t have a seizure on this crazy long round trip. I am amazed by the faith that God has given them. They are scared, but also humbled and honored that God would entrust them to this trial. They want healing, but only if it comes with growth. This week is the beginning of a long journey ahead….
My parents, sisters (four girls in my family), and I caught flights out ASAP and spent the week loving on their baby girl and boy…AND…unpacking their new house. Staying busy was therapeutic. Pray that their children will stay healthy (they’ve been passing the flu back and forth), that my baby sister (8 months pregnant) will have strength that surpasses all understanding, and for a miracle for my precious brother in law. I’ll share more of their story soon, this will be a very long journey and your prayers are coveted.
I’m totally looking forward to relaxing this weekend and enjoying some beautiful inspiration from my sweet bloggy friends! Thanks for sharing your Cream of the Crop Recipes!
Thank you for always amazing me…your Cream of the Crop Recipes are so inspiring!

It’s always amazing the things we can endure. Bless you and your family for helping your sister in her time if need, I hoping and praying the tumor heals miraculously
My cousin’s husband went through a similar story…he was having awful headache that they couldn’t figure out, and it was a crazy tumor in his head. They went through a lot, and the drs didn’t think he’d be alive a this point, much less be able to see, and he is alive, kicking, and has some vision. I tell you this so you can share a story with your sister that has a happy ending.
Praying for your lovely family from Los Angeles, California. Thank you for sharing and allowing us the priviledge of watching how God works through the faithful. God Bless You and your family.
You and your family will all be in my Prayers! God is still on the throne! HE is AMAZING and WONDERFUL! I pray that HIS will be done and that HE will give you all PEACE that passes ALL UNDERSTANDING.
Thank you for hosting, have a great weekend. Come to my first link party, Tuesday, Show off Where you Live and Play.
