Pumpkin Schmear – Easy Recipe
September 18, 2012 by Aimee • 49 Comments
Easy recipes are always the best. I know you’re going to love this Pumpkin Schmear so much. Not only because it’s an easy recipe, but because it’s a great way to make breakfast special even on a rushed morning.
Have you stalked up on Canned Pumpkin yet!?! I grabbed several last time I was grocery shopping and I know I’ll be back for more before long. My family craves Pumpkin recipes this time of year! Gather these ingredients to make your own Pumpkin Schmear…
Beat the cream cheese. Then, add the remaining ingredients and beat with mixture until well combined. Easy and Tasty Pumpkin Schmear, ready to enjoy after chilling in the refrigerator for an hour. Serve on a toasted bagel.
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- ½ cup canned pumpkin
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 5 tablespoons brown sugar
- Beat the cream cheese until softened. Then, add the remaining ingredients and beat until well combined. Refrigerate covered until chilled (about an hour). Serve on a toasted bagel.

Yummy! This would have been perfect for my breakfast this morning. I can’t wait to make it, so I won’t be stuck eating my usual peanut butter on a rice cake.
I love anything pumpkin. Thanks for sharing. I can’t wait to try this. I printed it out and pinned it. Thank you so much. Stopping over from BNOTP link party.
I’m in the UK & one of the things I miss most from my US vacations is pumpkin butter & pumpkin pie. This recipe sounds delicious & I’ve just discovered that Amazon UK sells cans of Libby’s 100% Pure Pumpkin. I feel the need to purchase a can, or several.
I’m a huge pumpkin fan…so this is a must try for me…thanks for sharing.
Blessings,

Hi Jenny. Maybe you could quarter some cinnamon bread on a platter and serve it with the pumpkin schmear!?!? A breakfast brunch is my fave! I wish I were attending! XO, Aimee
